The Mission Behind Healpha

Healpha is a telemedicine platform created to address gaps in India’s healthcare access, with the broader mission to extend its reach into underserved regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, and remote rural areas. As a UX Designer and Researcher on this project, my objective was to design a unified, intuitive experience for users needing doctor consultations, lab test bookings, and medicine orders — all through one platform.

Case Study: Designing a Doctor App with Features for Consultation, Lab Test Booking, and Medicine booking

Challenge

In today's increasingly digital world, where online shopping for everything from clothing to groceries has become the norm, many people remain cautious about using digital medical services, given the critical importance of health. To address this concern, Helpha developing an application that offers a range of features, including virtual doctor consultations, lab test bookings, and a platform for purchasing medicines. Designing this app is challenging, as it needs to cater to a wide audience, from 18 to 65+ years old. To provide the best user experience, it's essential to understand the issues users face with existing apps and create a platform with a user-friendly interface.

Process

Design Thinking process - a methodology well-suited for tackling complex, human-centered challenges. My goal is to use this approach to identify the best user-centered solution for this situation.
